How to disable the right click functionality on the desktop

Follow the given steps to disable the right click functionality on desktop:

To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
Click Start button and type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

Here locate the location to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer

Here in right side panel, right click to create a new DWORD value with the name NoViewContextMenu (it is case sensitive), then assign number 1 in value data box.

Now close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

But next time, if you want to enable right click functionality on desktop then simply change the value of data box or delete the NoViewContextMenu DWORD item.

Step1: In Windows 7 press Windows key+R and type as “regedit

Step 2: It will open the Registry Editor of your Windows 7

Step 3: After opening Registry edit browse the following path in reght side bar of registry editor

The Path to go: “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR”

Step4: Then right click the registry “Start” which is rectangled in red color in the below screenshot of registry editor

Step:5 Right Click “Start” and Click modify

To enable USB ports: change the value from “4″ to “3″
To disable USB ports: change the Value for “3″ to “4″

finaly restart your system.

How do I create shutdown shortcuts in Microsoft Windows 7

Creating a shortcut

Creating a shortcut should be familiar to almost everyone, but we will walk through the process just for clarity. There are other ways to accomplish this task, but this is my preferred method. First, right-click on a clear spot on the desktop and navigate to New | Shortcut, as shown in Figure A.

When you click the Shortcut menu item, you will arrive at the input screen shown in Figure B. This is where you will enter the specific command strings to make your new shortcut do what you want it to do.

Enter the command for your new shortcut.

For our example, we will enter the specific command that will shut down a Windows PC. Type the following command into the box and then click Next.

Shutdown.exe -s -t 00

The next screen (Figure C) asks you to name the shortcut. I suggest you name the shortcut to correspond to the action it will perform. In this case, we name it Shutdown.

Give it an appropriate name.

New icon

Technically, you could stop here, but I prefer to give these shortcuts an icon that will help me remember what it is they do. In Windows 7, changing an icon is similar to how you changed icons in previous versions of the operating system.

Right-click on the icon in question to get the context menu shown in Figure D and then navigate to the Properties menu item.

From the Properties control panel, shown in Figure E, select the Change Icon button.

The next screen (Figure F) will show you a list of potential icons. Choose the one you want to use and click the OK button twice.

Choose your icon and click OK.

You should now have a new shortcut on your desktop. When you click the shortcut, your PC will shut down, so make sure you save your work before you test it.

Search
Enter your search query in the address bar, and you will automatically be offered to relevant queries and popular web sites. (This default service proposals for Google, which provides automatic suggestions, unless you chose default search engine does not use another service.)

Go to a Web page
If you know the address of a Web page that you want to go, enter it in the address bar. Press the Enter key on your keyboard or click the arrow icon to load a Web page. As you enter the address Chrome automatically searches in the history of visited pages, and displays the number of matches in the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Create a bookmark
When you go to an interesting Web site, which would return in the future, click on the icon marked on the toolbar, Chrome, to create a bookmark. A window appears confirming the addition of tabs.

Safety website
If Chrome detects that the web site to which you are trying to access, provides secure data transfer using SSL, you will see the following.

The background color of the address bar will change to gold. Element "https" in the URL-address for web sites with SSL-protected connection will be displayed in green.
At the end of the address bar icon appears in the castle.
If you install SSL-enabled connection is not possible, at the end of the address bar icon appears on the prevention and, possibly, other warnings browser. When you click on this icon opens a dialog box "Security Information" containing additional information.
